Design Group is proud of our vibrant, people-centric culture. During the formative years of the firm, leadership worked interactively with a cross-section of Design Group professionals in order to capture and articulate the firm’s unique culture. The resulting document, Design Group "Rules of the Culture” was adopted and embraced. Although Design Group has grown much larger, these values remain unchanged to this day.

Design Group recognition events are reflective of the unique Design Group culture. We regularly recognize and celebrate the achievements of our professionals who are essential to the success of the Firm. Our recognition efforts include:
The PRIDE Award: Design Group's peer-nominated recognition award is an acronym which stands for “Professionals Recognizing Individuals who Demonstrate Excellence”. This program is specifically designed to recognize professionals who make outstanding contributions to client development. Hundreds of candidates are nominated by their peers, and each year approximately 25 individuals are selected for unique, personalized PRIDE celebrations. We view client development as a core leadership trait that every professional can aspire to … and we consider every PRIDE nominee AND nominator to be a winner!
The High Five Award: Design Group's High Five Award provides the opportunity for professionals to recognize any individual who goes above and beyond their normal daily duties to help achieve client success via outstanding project contributions, or by directly supporting our team members in the field. Recipients are honored with a personalized recognition event organized by their local office team. In addition, the High Five recipient receives a personalized letter of commendation from the Chief Executive Officer of Barry-Wehmiller Company, Bob Chapman.
