Container Manufacturing - Beverage Industry
Design Group was engaged to develop the technical feasibility, operational impact, and capital justification to convert a major carbonated soft drink producer to implement the self manufacturing of the PET bottles within their existing facilities. The scope included facility, infrastructure, utilities, and packaging modifications. Once approved, Design Group provided services to implement the design, installation, and start-up of self manufacture in each of the facilities, utilizing a well conceived phased schedule. |

Greenfield Carbonated Beverage Facility
Design Group provided a master plan and capital grade estimate for a new Greenfield carbonated beverage plant. The new facility was designed to incorporate several relocated and upgraded lines as well as new high speed production lines with build-out to support the addition of in-house bottle manufacturing. The engineering study covered all aspects of the facility design inclusive of building, infrastructure, packaging, and process. Preliminary engineering design was completed for each of these areas including packaging line design, process room design, and railhead requirements. Extensive work was done within the design, with the Owner, and with local authorities to ensure compliance with building code requirements. These designs became the basis of the capital grade estimate for the Owner's internal return-on-investment computations and for their Board of Directors approval process.
Design Group services included project management, mechanical system design/layout, preliminary electrical engineering, equipment specification and RFP process, and coordination of building and process integration firms.
